| Certifications refer to values obtained from window and door frames
in appropriates test that have the aim to verify the permeability to the air,
the resistance to the wind, the held to the water and the power of acoustic isolation. The permeability to the air is the characteristic of an closed window and door frame to leave filter air when a difference of pressure is present between the internal and the external; minors will be the volumes lost, major will be the quality of the window and door frame. The methodology of test is defined by norm UNI EN 1026; the window and door frame is fixed to the wall of test, what is a machinery endowed with specific equipments able to provoke a difference of pressure among external and internal of the window and door frame and to measure the volume of air that is dispersed. According to the quantity of volume of air dispersed, of the total surface of the window and door frame and the length of the openable joints, it is determined permeability to the air of the window and door frame in examination. The consequent classification happens according to the norm UNI EN 12207 that it foresees four classes of performance (1,2,3,4) where class 1 = worse class; class 4 = best class. It intends for resistance to the wind the ability of a window and door frame that submitted to strong pressures and/or depressions as those caused by the wind, it maintains an admissible deformation, preserve the initial ownerships and safeguard the safety of the users. According to the norm UNI EN 12210 the window and door frames can be classified in five classes for the pressure of the wind (from 1 to 5) and three classes for the frontal relative arrow (from A to C) whose combining furnishes the classification of the window and door frames (C3, B5, A1 and so on...). The class C is better than A; the class 5 is better than 1. A window and door frame classified C5 (maximum) overcomes uninjured a pressure of 300 kg / square metres, compared to a speed of the wind of around 230 km / h. The held to the water is the ability of a window and door frame to prevent infiltrations of water when a different pressure is present among inside and outside. The norm UNI EN 1027 disciplines the method of test and it foresees that on the whole window and door frame is watered with one determined quantity of water using some special sprinklers. The appearance of infiltrations (happened through whatever openable part and glass door of the window and door frame) to a determined level of pressure, allows to attribute the class reached by the window and door frame. The classification happens using the norm UNI EN 12208 that it foresees nine classes attainable from the window and door frames (1,2,3. 9), combined to the letter A (in case of window and door frames totally statements to the water) or to the letter B (in case of window and door frames staid in niche with superior veil that protects them from the direct water). Obviously the class A it is better than the B, as 9A is better than 1A. The power of acoustico isolation R quantifies the ability of a component to reduce the transmission of the incidental sound on it. R varies to vary of the frequency and of the physical property, of the dimensions and of the conditions of tie of the component. The normative references are the norms UNI EN ISO 140-3 and UNI EN ISO 717-1. The norms define the formalities of measurement of the acoustic isolation in buildings and elements of buildings and the methodologies of calculation for the determination of the index of evaluation of the acoustic isolation. |
